A message from our Lockhart Little League President

Hello everyone,

Spring registration is upon us. As a non profit organization the fees and future fundraisers pay for numerous items such as:

Uniforms, Balls, marketing, Catcher Gear, Bases, Helmets, Field Maintenance, Concessions, Charter Fees, trophies, field maintenance machine, new pitching mounds, new home plates, chalk, clay, opening and closing day ceremonies and numerous other things.

We also have long term projects that we would like to do to improve the fields such as better irrigation, batting cages with concrete flooring and shade for parents. Also, we are working with the city to replace the netting that protects spectators.

Furthermore, the league has not had the proper software to maintain the leagues budget and we are now paying for this software so that when the public has concerns about the leagues finances we can provide them to you in a more professional format but this is currently new and a work in progress.

At the end of the day I would like our league to be as transparent as possible and the new board is trying to achieve this and I ask for your patience.

All board meetings will be posted on Facebook and those are open to the public. I encourage anyone that has questions to attend. If you cannot attend then we will be trying to post the meeting minutes on Facebook to keep you informed.

We look forward to a great spring season and can’t wait to see you at the fields!
